AIAB
AIAB (Italian Association for Organic Agriculture) is the networking of the organic movement and primarily represents the interests of organic operators, through the promotion of organic agriculture as a model of sustainable development, based on the principles of conservation and exploitation of resources , environmental, animal welfare and health of the consumer. Organic farming is, in fact, a development model for rural alternative to ‘”industrial agriculture”, capable of addressing the ecological sense in the behavior of market participants and the public and, in particular, their approach to the production method and to consumption. The interests of organic producers affecting the interests of the citizens-consumers and enhance the role and function of technical specialists in organic farming.
AIAB is currently engaged on several fronts, ranging from EU research projects or national support policies in the sector, for the development of systems of transformation, for the protection of biodiversity and natural heritage to those disclosure codes of practice on organic, training programs and international cooperation.
